Rains are likely in areas around the Hajar Mountains

Muscat: There are chances of scattered heavy thunderstorms accompanied by strong downdraft winds and hail in parts of the Hajar Mountains and adjacent areas, according to Oman Meterology.

There is also the possibility of flash floods from flowing wadis, according to the Met.

General forecast

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies along Dhofar coasts and mountains with intermittent drizzle. 

EXPECTED WINDS:

Along the coastal areas of the Sea of Oman Sea winds will be northeasterly to easterly, light to moderate, and over most of the governorates, it will be southerly to southeasterly, light to moderate, while southwesterly fresh winds.

Rough along the coastal areas of the Arabian Sea with a maximum wave height of 4.0 meters.
